We condensed our essence into six short sentences and that is the result. A true architectural gem of a house. A history that could be recounted for hours. A hotel where every room has a character of its own. Delicious food. A delightful place for special events. A wholesome group of lovely people who all fit under one name - the Ammende family.
Villa Ammende was built in the beginning of the 20th century by one of the wealthiest magnate merchants of Pärnu, Hermann Leopold Ammende. The house that was originally built for the joyous wedding celebrations of his beloved daughter Ellen has seen better and worse days, escaped a reconstruction, served as a casino, a library and stood forlornly forgotten for a while.
Our visitors will get a feel for the life of a rich merchant family who has lived in the house of their ancestors for a century. The original spatial layout has not been changed and there are sumptuous art nouveau paintings on the walls and ceilings of the halls. Some things go far back in time, some are from our own age. Many possibilities both for vacationers and for event organisers.
“I have always been enchanted by art nouveau architecture, and Villa Ammende offers us the finest example in Estonia. Such a cosy hotel, one of my utter favourites!”
