The History of Pärnu Beach Park

We invite everyone to Pärnu, to the garden of Villa Ammende, where an exciting exhibition on the history of Pärnu Beach Park is on display – come and discover the heritage of Pärnu Beach Park!

From June 15, 2024, until the end of the summer 2025, an intriguing exhibition is open under the ancient oaks in the garden of Villa Ammende. This exhibition presents the rich history, values, and the importance of nature conservation of Pärnu Beach Park. This educational and inspiring event highlights the role of Beach Park in preserving the cultural and ecological balance of Pärnu.

Carefully selected exhibits and nature-related examples illustrate how Pärnu Beach Park has developed and been preserved over the years. The exhibition is aimed at both local residents and visitors who wish to better understand and appreciate the cultural and environmental value of the Beach Park.

Everyone is invited to visit this unique display, offering a rare opportunity to delve into the history and nature conservation of Pärnu Beach Park, while providing visitors with a rich learning and discovery experience.

Take your time to stroll along the park paths of the villa.
Find the oversized “bedroom screens” placed along the walkways in various parts of the garden
and learn about what Pärnu was like before the grand Villa Ammende and Beach Park were built.

The exhibition is financially supported by the Environmental Investment Centre through the “Environmental Awareness Campaigns and Information Dissemination in 2023” grant programme, which has enabled the gathering of best practices and knowledge.
