The 16th-19th centuries are considered the heyday of sailing. During this period, ships sailing under topsails transported goods and emigrants to all continents. The tradition of sea songs – shanty – also originates from this period, from which the modern sea song, so beloved by us, developed. The era of sailing ships ended with the improvement of the steam engine, and the final blow was dealt by the introduction of the internal combustion engine.

The most beautiful, romantic and fun songs have reached our days since the 19th century. All the most beloved sea romantic songwriters rely on this tradition in their creations. Ships were made of wood then and men were made of iron.

Gates open at 6 PM, the program starts at 7 PM.

During the concert pop-up restaurant MEKK offers a sharing menu featuring the best delicacies of Modern Estonian Cuisine. Dinner includes a 6-course sharing menu, which creates a small taste journey throughout the evening. To begin, three appetizers intended for sharing are served in an elegant tower, followed by a personally served main course and a delicious dessert, where every detail is crafted with care and love. The evening will end with MEKK’s handmade candies and treats, which will give the last tasting notes before the music gently closes the evening. This is not just dinner – it is an evening where flavors speak and music listens.
