Pärnu Resort 175

Pärnu resort is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. The first bathing establishment
started operations in Pärnu Bay in 1838.
The anniversary year is symbolised by the so called “Resort elephants” that caused lot of
excitement when they first appeared. The mystic elephants were erected on Pärnu beach at the
beginning of the 1950s. The wooden elephants offered children, as well as adults, lot of fun
with trunks that could be used for sliding smoothly into sea water.
With reference to the resort year Ammende Villa restaurant has created a special menu which is
marked with the resort logo. Since the resort is associated with mineral springs and a healthy
lifestyle we have paid special attention to the principle of healthy eating. The delicious dishes of
the resort menu are made mainly of local fresh products.
